Portogruaro and Concordia Sagittaria

Portogruaro is washed by the Lèmene River, which creates splendid views of mills, bridges and buildings. Corso Martiri della Libertà is the oldest backbone of the city, with its Venetian-style palaces and the Town Hall square, with its Gothic Town Hall and cathedral with a characteristic leaning bell tower.

Nearby, in the hamlet of Summaga, the old Benedictine Abbey, which dates back to the 11th century, is certainly worth a visit. A trip to Portogruaro is also an opportunity to discover the nearby Concordia Sagittaria, just two kilometres away, created from an ancient Roman colony. Its territory boasts prestigious examples of architecture like the Roman ruins and the Cathedral with its baptistery.
